Oops! I thought this one was obvious. All four of my recent haiku (baiku, paiku, craiku and laiku) have their subject matter clearly (or maybe not so clearly) stated in their names.

Brigid, I am a total ignoramus. I have no idea what the difference between them is. Please enlighten?

Well, Deb, I was just having a bit of fun playing with the word "haiku". baiku=bike craiku=cry laiku=lie paiku=pie Just being silly...there's no difference, they're all "haiku".

This cracked me up! Mainly because I was thinking leeches...as in Lake! Only I didn't think leeches came in white! Very clever!

This was from one of my nonsensical periods. In reading through the thread again, I think it's a good illustration of how something can be completely clear and obvious to the author while others are scratching their heads. I did have a lot of fun with irreverent haiku. Perhaps I'll give it another go... sighku sadness or resignation sets this breath apart

Proud to say, I got this one immediately. Very nicely done, Brigid. How about this one for the collection?
Whaiku?
I do not know of any reason other than love for poetry.

Brigid, I am laughing here, I was thinking lake or all sorts of L words but lie is a very good one, love the different colours and so smart. We are obviously a very honest group here.
