I like it, but then - it has a cat so why wouldn't I like it ;D my cat Kitra likes it too [it's ok for me to speak for her - she speaks for me too - I have a picture of her posting on line ] One thought, I think it would read better if the last line said "within my warmth" - just a thought.

Fire Monkey, Thank you for that, I must think about it. I went out to make a cup of tea and when I came back, the cat had moved into my chair, in my warmth but within would work too.

Yes, "in" might even be literally better as far as the meaning goes, though I think either would be correct, I just felt that the extra syllable gave it a better flow without confusing the meaning but as always, it's just my view of it.
