High in the pine tree baby butcher birds are tossed in natures theme park
mother butcher bird sings lullaby to babies reassuring song
The next day...
first flight from the nest a wee mishap - crash landing baby butcher bird
Poor baby bird Slipping off rainwater tank Mum and dad nearby (serial haiku...happening as I write)
on frangipani a lesson on flight begins mum’s stressful morning
various dramas for butcher bird family guarding their young one
cool night approaches natures resilience shines through lil butcher bird sighs
Following day...
morning light shines bright baby bird wakes still on fence mum serves him breakfast

How did I miss this? What happened next? Please tell me the story has a happy ending! A "serial haiku", oh Dianne, that is so clever...

Hi Brigid, have added the others... it was quite a weekend keeping Isabelle and Panda inside so they couldn't upset the baby. Anyway it was still going strong the following morning and hopped along the back fence down 3 or 4 houses. He's okay I think, I can still see the parents fluttering back and forth...
