Hi Deb,
This is great. Comparing your friend's picture to your profile picture, you two look more like sisters. You are truly a woman of many talents.
Now, about drawing on the wall. Is their some Ukrainian meaning or symbolism to the tree? Did you stop at just that, or have you done some more?
It's really good to see you posting again.

What fun, eh Brigid? I do try to be creative in the little things I do. As long as I can feel well enough to have a little joy in me, or even if I just have some emotion to relate, or remember, I can usually express it somehow. But you know I think SSRIs really stunt the poet's craft. You can't feel the full spectrum of emotion when you take anti-depressants. The tree in the Ukrainian drawing is The tree of Life. The deer beneath represent a wish for health, and prosperity. It's a popular one.. I think I have an egg done of mine with the motif.. let me see. Here Brigid.. if you look at the top egg, in this little collection of my eggs - you can see it is a Tree of Life egg. I'd love to do more art on my wall but I need to have a few months of good health first! How are you feeling? All better now? <hug>

Deb, these eggs are so beautiful and intricate. You must really have a steady hand. Is the stegosaurus (?) also a traditional Ukrainian subject? Your kitty doesn't look exactly pleased in the picture you posted above, however, she's still quite welcome here!

I can add that the portrait is quit accurate As for Kita, she is not at all unhappy in the picture, just intense, as she often is. She is in my arms in that picture greeting me [the grey is my coat sleeve so I have just arrived and am still wearing my coat] she often snuggles up against my shoulder when I first get to Deb's place. The eggs are quite lovely too - Deb has quite a few and has made a lot more over the years.

Hi Sweet Silver Bird!
I haven't been over here on this part of the site before, but thought I'd take a peek at what I've been missing.
You have a real talent! The eggs are beautiful, as is the pencil drawing (or is it charcoal? Shows what I know!) of your friend.
And the cat makes me sneeze, since I am allergic!
Very well done!
Dan
