Hi eiken, It's great to see you back! The forum hasn't been the same without you. There's a lot of meaning reflected in this piece, beyond that stated in the poem. Renewal is slow in coming, but I think it's coming for all of us. (At least I hope so!) Don't, as the saying goes, be a stranger. We love your gentle voice here. Brigid

Hi Brigid, Great to be back!! I hope to post a few over the coming weeks/months Tanka are my new thing, I love them but I cannot abandon haiku or haiga, love the short form poems always!! You introduced me to them, I will never forget you for that. Thank you!

Thanks, eiken. It makes me so happy that haiku and cousins have become such an important part of your life. As I write, a bird drops down from a tree branch and lands on the feeder. Reminds me of haiku...

Daphne, Thank you, I am glad it worked well for you. I find these moments are gifts, they happen all the time for me, unprompted. Once I really became aware of nature, it began to impact everything in my daily life, the inner world and the outer world almost became one. I love how these moments happen and as I say, they are gifts of nature, the pivot just comes to me
