FREE YOUR MIND
You're like a bird.
Too timid and scared
to stretch out her wings.
Who's forgotten the words
to the song that she sings.
Refusing to age
she yearns to be free.
Yet clings to her cage
and her captivity.
Sing like a bird.
Your song should be heard
from the tallest of trees.
Your wings should be aired
on the warm summer breeze.
The sky's but a stage
take flight and you'll find
you're free from the cage
that imprisons your mind.

"who's forgotten the words to the song that she sings..."
Beautiful sweet words of encouragement, I envision a kind hand gently pushing her closer and closer to the edge of the cage door. I have thought about it and think she is craving someone to do just that she may need the push, as the first step is often the hardest. Lovely.

This is gentle and lovely, and so tenderly crafted. I really really love it. <3
