Hi eiken, If YOU are but a shell, what does that make the rest of us? Another lovely work, this time with a twist to ponder at the end. A shell, as in someone hollow and empty of feeling, or a simple matter of fact statement of a perceived place in the scheme of things. I love it when a short line can be interpreted in more than one way. Hope you've had a lovely day so far, although with builders around, it doesn't sound terribly peaceful. Perhaps, afterwards, you can curl up with a cup of tea and a cat and write a tanka about them.
