Reaching Out
Sometimes your face seems a stranger to laughter. A tear in your eye says you need looking after. Your arms reaching out for someone to hold onto. Somebody who will turn your grey skies blue. Sometimes you turn and you run from tomorrow. You know in your heart it will bring only sorrow. Your arms reaching out for someone to comfort you. Somebody who will help you make it through. Sometimes you wish you had never been woken. You try to return to a dream that is broken. Your arms reaching out for someone to curl up to. Somebody who will make your dreams come true.

Hi John,
This is very sweet and comforting. It's good to know that there are still sentimental men around. The picture seems to go perfectly with the poem too. Nice work.

I love this. It sings like a lullaby, and it brings comfort. Beautifully done.

Nicely done, John, it sounds (at least in my head) like song lyrics.
I see you have posted a number of poems recently, I'm going to go check out more of them.
