Another Child, Another Mother – An Etheree
Dark pathway leads nowhere dirty-slick streets wet with August rain gunshot in near distance another child lies dying cut down by the hand of a friend ambulance rushes, but it’s too late another mother cries for her dead son

Hi Lisa, Very sad and haunting. Reminds me very much of Deb's "Heard on the Wind" ( poetry-here-and-now.proboards.com/thread/1823/heard-on-wind), which she also wrote a couple of years ago. The tragedy is that this sort of thing happens every single day, somewhere in the U.S. A very moving work. Brigid

yes, I read and commented on Deb's wonderful and poignant poem several days ago...
you are so right, this type of tragedy happens somewhere just about everyday across the country and it tears at my heart
in my work, I visit this topic often...
