Sometimes I wonder at the insistence writing has become then I begin to wonder why some are touched....others are not just where do these ideas and inspirations come from what is this muse all poets seem to live with
Ideas that seem to just pop into our heads...where ever we may be how any night are we awakened...forced to write them down or at the strangest places...to just sit down and madly write what is this muse all poets seem to live with
As we work...play...or just live...only to be rudely interrupted another inspiration has hit...must write this down to write it down...lest we forget its importance to the world what is this muse all poets seem to live with
We are enslaved to this inconsiderate master...who must be obeyed this demanding...this invisible thing...that resides within our minds demanding us to drop everything...just to write to the world what is this muse all poets seem to live with

Hi Peg,
It's nice to see you back here after such a long absence. Yes, this is familiar, to most, if not all of us, indeed. Your feelings of not exactly having free will are well-expressed. Personally, I'm beginning to think of my muse rather as a fuse...
I hope we'll be seeing a lot more of you here.
Brigid

This is a super poem for evoking the idea of a real buzzing puzzlement. I can 'hear' the frustration. But nevermind. Just write!
