Not having any bread crumbs, she leaves trails of broken dreams behind her, still hoping to find enchantment.

This is short and poignant. I think we all have those crumbs trailing in our rear view mirrors

There is so much going on here, for such a short poem.
What are these broken dreams? And the intriguing inversion of dreams leading backwards, not forwards.
I guess that the broken dreams are failed searches for enchanment, and each time she goes looking but fails, she leaves that broken dream behind, and looks somewhere else.
How depressing though, if ever she gives up her search, the path back home will be littered with all those broken dreams. So better that she keeps searching, no matter how futile, rather than ever have to reflect on all that sorrow.
So much to think about.

This reminded me of the story or fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel. It packs a punch. Well done!

It's short and to the point. The narrator expresses the loss & hopelessness the girl feels because she has lost her way. Very nice!
