So, if I understand this, you made a collage 10 ears ago and then took a photo of it which you then altered - is that right? If so, I'd say this is both the art of the collage and the art of the photo/alteration. ;D

Yes, Tim, you're right. It's both original art and an altered photo. However, since the original image (the collage) was changed into something else (the altered photo), I consider it to be more in the latter category. (A regular photo of a piece of art would not be in this category). One of the things I love about altering photos is that you can completely change the colors and other effects in an infinite number of ways. It's very therapeutic puttering around with so-called reality in this way. Brigid

Brigid, agree - that's what I love about the art form. This image looks like a background image for an event's poster ad.
