I think this picture is a good one for stirring up the creativity I hope it will suggest many things.

I like this one. I think I have felt this way, and maybe I can find a way to say what she is saying.

Hi Tim, This is a very intriguing picture. Alluring...yet...? Great job. You say to "ask no more" but I'm going to ask what you and Deb do to get big pictures posted. The instructions I posted limit us to the teensy ones. How do you do it? I want to get some pictures posted that we can all actually see! And, I'll get right on that homework assignment!

Thanks - not every picture I do turns out the way I intend it to but I was always rather pleased wit tis one.
As for large pictures - the secret is to have the picture on line somewhere and then copy the url off the picture and insert it between the "img" "/img" command. Now that does require that you have it uploaded somewhere that it will stay. It also means the picture doesn't take up space on your site since the picture is then being loaded from the site where it is at.
I have a site where I store pictures to allow me to use them other places.

Hmm, I've tried that. I've got some stuff on flickr. Doesn't work for me. Very strange. I'll keep trying...

OK, Tim, here's what this picture inspired from me:
Was it not enough that you stole the land, killed my people, and my hope?

An interesting interpretation of the picture - not what I saw as I painted it but that is a part of the joy of art - the interpretations are a joining of the artist and the viewer so that any picture can hold many meanings. For me there is more mystery but I like hearing what others see - I have often seen virtually opposite meanings from a single picture and both interpretations make equal sense.
In pictures, like in poems, we get a glimpse of the artist but also a glimpse of the viewer. That is part of what I love about it. ;D

Oh, about pictures - try going to the site you have your picture on and right click on the picture and select "view image" - then copy the url and paste that between the "img" "/img" - if that doesn't work then I would guess it is some sort of anti-copy protection that flickr has - I'd suggest if that is the case that you write them and ask how you can copy our picture to a different site.

Ask No More by the Birdie. The sun is slowly going down. Perhaps we should go back to town. I've loved so much our forest walk .. and yes, I know you love to talk.=) but why not play your flute instead? I'll dance a little step ahead. You know the fairies like to see just how things are with you and me. There's twinkle lights just up ahead Could there be anything to dread? The night has magic, - much in store! Now kiss me quick! I'll ask no more!

I love it, and here again is an interpretation which is different from what filled my head as I painted it and yet it is a perfect match to the picture.
Actually when I painted it I was trying to capture a kind of mystery and the thought of things not yet revealed - so I suppose this poem, while different, is also the same feeling with a clear reason.
The poem is a wonderful image of [dare I say] impish fun and playfulness. ;D

The muted hues give it a very ethereal quality. That compliments your intent of conveying mystery. Was this modeled on someone? Is she supposed to represent a certain nationality? Here's an incomplete and unpolished poetic musing in response...
Following through the morning mist A hawk cried out, staring us down My clodhoppers snapping twigs I winced, apologetic for the sound She hadn't said a single word Glancing back with a forgiving gaze We moved on, the ground less firm Approaching the water as day breaks ~Callisse J. DeTerre

I wasn't trying for any specific nationality and she is not based on any real person as such - that said, an artist has to draw on the things in their head so if I draw a person that is not real, you can bet the are based on many people I have seen or known - just not intentionally so. I was actually trying to have her be someone hard to place - ethnic background unclear, time period unclear [the clothes she is wearing do not exactly fit in any specific time or place] I wanted as many levels of mystery as I could manage.

Do not ask me if I will lie with you, give me credit where credit is due Please, no questions about my life or love, My heart is only given to Him above, Do not pester me to see your plan I am looking higher than the deeds of Man. Keep your queries to yourself, be quiet, before your blood runs rampant & riot, Be peaceful, do not antagonize, know the truth behind my eyes If you would let my spirit be free Please, ask no more questions of me ---- Cool picture, Tim, it worked well as a prompt, once I got the first two lines, the rest came out in a rush.

By Chance
By chance our eyes meet Necessity of words _ Lacking to speak
The two of us together Never thinking of forever
Swayed by the flickering light Encompassed by shadows _ Two souls unite
In spite of the surrounding dark A smoldering glance strikes the heart
This in turn _ Sparks ignite A sudden urge rendered helpless to fight
Fleeing deep into the night A single focus kept in sight
Embraced by a warm calming hush Suspended in time _ Without rush
Captivated by a single touch A secret Meant only for us !

I am very intrigued by the mysterious look - While this image conjures up many images, I can only imagine?

I enjoyed reading the poem you wrote - years ago I knew someone who wrote in a very similar style of word usage. Thank you for the comment on the picture - I don't always manage to capture people right but this is one of the pictures which I felt I had managed to get what I wanted and I shared it here because I thought it might inspire some poems so I'm happy when it does.
