I don't really do 'art', so I don't want to insult those of you who post here with actual artistic talent. What I do are more like doodles than anything but they tend to relate themselves somehow to pieces that I'm working on at the time or else inspire words from somewhere. With that in mind, I tend to think of them as "illustrations/expressions of thought". Here's a recent one that doesn't go with a poem or other piece of work: -D&W

I like this because it is completely spontaneous, and has an air of complete sincerity to it because of that. Simple and fun!
This is the sort of excercise that keeps you from getting writer's block, I'll bet!!

I have always said that art is expression and so if you have expression then it counts as art. So this is art. Ok, clearly that is a broad definition, but I believe it is valid. There are pictures which have sold for obscene amounts of money which express nothing and therefore to me, they are not art. You know, a monkey has to have his standards
