When I first stumbled on this place, I had a look at the rules and regulations and thereby formed the opinion that I oughtn't share any stuff with dirty words in it. Since then, our hostess has clarified that the occasional, judiciously-used naughty work can be OK. This, then, enables me to raid the back catalogue and present a little bit that I really liked at the time I wrote it.
teenage wanker
the stomping triplesoul brothelcreeper of summer and the toobig leatherjacket armour, the idiot hair spiked and dyed black as intentions when I lied as to why you mustn't come among us, or the yellow-dry chirruping provençal hills of pitchblack twisty night-roads to tinny village square discos, sweltering red tents, and the itchytwitchy pro-plus-pepsi trainride south.
really shamefully, you were de-invited by my wanker's weak fear of the snide smiles of unfriends whose names I now don't remember, who'd mocked your sharp nose, big legs, and bigger wounded, beautiful and generous heart.
and to repay you that way after learning first the rich, round taste of girl flesh in your patchouli-scented bed while the pogues shouted, while your sister went mad and your dad went cold
and your stupid little dog sniffed the joy from my arsehole those times we fucked hilariously in the cool orchards and waving rapeseed of home.

Ah, "time", It's so lovely to see a sweet and sentimental love poem from you. I always (well, usually) enjoy your slice-of life gritty "snapshots" and this one is no exception. (You brought a big smile to my face with the image of the dog!) I can see why this is one of your favorites.

Will it peeve you greatly if I call this lovely? And...I take it your spelling of "provençal" is a differentiation from "provincial"?? To me they are two distinct things and this was what I assumed...just checking.

"Provençal" quite specifically means "of the Provence region of France" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Provence

Which <sigh> OK... it never occurred to me that it might be used as a synonym of 'provincial' in English... you live and learn [strokes chin, gazes contemplatively over rolling English hills across an unlovely chunk of London fractured and throttled by noisy roadworks.]

Oh, I loved this!, raw and heartfelt, words commingling and tumbling after one another like a teenager's courtship, romantic, bawdy and tawdry all at once. I wish I could write like this.
