A swan flew across the moon The image in my mind remains It touched my heart and made me swoon I do not know the reason why But if the swan had not been free I would not have seen it fly

Hi Tim, An excellent message! I think I would split this into two verses, since the verses don't rhyme with each other. Also, does anyone really ever "swoon" anymore? It reminds me of what a heroine in a silent movie does when threatened by a villian or overwhelmed by passion. The swan across the moon is a lovely image. One doesn't normally think of swans in flight, mainly because they do the bulk of their flying at night! This is really a lovely sentiment. How sad to think of a swan in a cage! Brigid

I don't know - I might swoon ... I certainly get quite choked with emotion at times so that I can't speak. ;D
