Hi Beryle, Wow, this is one smokin' hot mama goddess, who is apparently addicted to alliteration! I get a sense of the power (and the playfulness) of the goddess. Personally, I tend to be a bit put off by a lot of alliteration (I say, as I continue to alliterate) but I think it lends a certain "attitude" to this portrayal of Uma. Not only is she unabashedly sexual, she's joyously playing with language (and with us) and daring us not to like it! And we, being only human, know that we'd better like it (or else!) I like Uma's "tude" and I like this poem.

Thank you Brigid. I'm glad you liked it. I knew it was a bit risky but it is one of my favorites. I studied Raja and Bhakti Yoga for several years and it opened me up to unusual images of Feminine power - Creatrix, Mother, Protector, Lover, and many others. I like alliteration once in a while and this one was "downloaded" with the alliteration as a game. I like to think She not only smiles in this poem but she grins.
