The 'Six Word Poem' is something of a hit on Twitter, often adorned with the hashtag #SixWords.
I use them as a way to keep writing even on creatively slow days. The only rule is to write your 'poem' in exactly six words.
However, I found that this lent itself more to a general statement than to a poem so I like to add the challenge of using alliteration.
_The Waiting Room_
Sitting – silent, still, stiff – staring solemnly
See if you can come up with your own. Subject matter is free; the only rules are:
- Exactly six words. - Full alliteration.

Patient patients practicing patience perfectly peacefully. OK, Karl, here's another 6 word take on the same scene.

Excellent, Brigid. Thanks for joining in.
I like how yours gives such a contrasting description of the same place and yet both can be true at the same time.
How strange a beast, the waiting room.

It counjours up for me images of coffee-shop philosophers sat around being better than everybody else and deconstructing The Mainstream.
Brilliant.

Well, I ave known a few of those coffee-shop philosophers ... they generally don't seem to enjoy very much other than the sound of their own voice ;D

Nice, daphnepurpus.
I think these give opportunity for so much imagery and I love the picture that your 'dog' contribution creates.
Keep it up!
