Hello, Poets. This week I introduced the Ghazal, an Arabic poetic form, in Form Focus: poetry-here-and-now.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forms&action=display&thread=944We had some good quick responses in the session and also some interesting comments concerning the form. I was wondering what variations people might be able to make by building on and adapting the form. It should be recognisable that the Ghazal is the base for your form, but there are really no rules beyond that. I think this form lends itself very well to variation because of its simplicity. Have a go. I've an idea of my own which I'll post a little later. -D&W

Fun idea. I'll see what I can come up with. Got some thoughts on this...

Had one half written and it got eaten. I'll be back. Was playing with double entendre...not in a lewd sense...just thought the repetition in ghazal might lend itself well to exploring variations of the 'same' words...
